Aside from controlling carbohydrate and fat intake, this diet also suggests moderate consumption of rich-protein foods such as meat, cheese, poultry, and beans. Remember that when your body gets too much protein, this will yield a negative impact on insulin, a hormone that is responsible for regulating the blood’s sugar level.

2 Types of Diabetes

  • Type 2. If your body lacks insulin, you must be suffering from Type 2 diabetes. Some of its common symptoms include recurrent urination, drastic weight loss, and dry mouth.

Indeed, having diabetes does not mean ending all the ‘sweet’ foods in life. Through the diabetes diet, you can still savor sweet foods for your entire life.
